Background: The Mid-Autumn Festival (sometimes known as the Moon Festival) is a festival held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the lunar calendar and has a history dating back over 3000 years. The Festival celebrates the harvest season and entry in winter. The moon is a symbol of peace, prosperity and family reunion.
